Salomon Snowmonkey winter boots

Like the Exit IIIs, the Snowmonkeys are wrapped in Salomon's ClimaDry breathable, waterproof material. The boots sport a rubber outsole and high rand that keep frigid water at bay when tracking through briny winter puddles.

The Snowmonkeys retain the cantilevered sole found on Salomon's day hiking boots. Salomon adds a rounded toe and heel with additional treads to help your feet roll through snow as it shifts underfoot, as well as maximize contact surfaces to retain your footing on slippery terrain.

Now that the snow, ice and below-freezing weather is here to stay for the next few months, our geartesters will ride these boots hard and report how they stand up to the punishment that winter and Geartest.com dish out.
