EXCLUSIVE - Unreal Championship [Xbox Live] goes gold after delaysGeartest.com Staff
Unreal Championship has gone gold following a last-minute bugfix that threatened to delay the game's availability until after Microsoft's Nov. 15 launch of its Xbox Live online service. The game was originally slated to be on store shelves on Nov. 11 after developer Digital Extremes submitted a final version of the game for replication and shipment last week. The Xbox Web site still lists the game's street date as October 2002. According to a highly-placed source, Microsoft's quality assurance team found a bug that was serious enough to send the game back to the developer for a fix. Unreal Championship was originally scheduled for completion in late October but the date kept sliding due to new bugs and performance issues found by Microsoft.
